In August 2004, I was called as the Senior Pastor to Redemption Church of Lacombe. I consider it a great privilege and joy to serve as the Pastor at Redemption Church and am thankful for the many ways God continues to pour out his favor upon the church. I completed my Ph.D. in preaching in December of 2009, and have a deep passion for biblical exposition of God's Word and to see Redemption Church be an effective tool for God to make disciples in our community and throughout the world. I am married to my wonderful wife, Liz, and we are blessed with four beautiful children, Caroline, Matthew, Benjamin and Zachary.
My passion is to glorify God in everything that we do as a church. If you are looking for a church home, then I invite you to come and share in the great things God is doing in and through Redemption Church.
I originally started attending Redemption Church of Lacombe back in the fall of 2007 as a new student seeking my Masters degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. At that time the Lord was growing me through various challenges and had brought me to Redemption Church of Lacombe. The church was such a blessing from God during that time in my life. In January of 2009 He called me to serve on staff at Redemption Church of Lacombe through a program that sponsors ministry staff and the help of my childhood church FBC of Panama City, Florida. I am now blessed with my beautiful wife Audrey, my beautiful girls Alethea (Ali) and Shiloh as well as my awesome son Gideon. We also own a 3 legged pomeranian dog named Peeg (like “pig” but with a long e accent). My life verse is Matthew 6:33.
I am now the Associate Pastor of Youth and an Elder at Redemption Church. I love seeing the church unified into one body and ministering to this world as Christ's hands and feet. I also have a passion for exposing the heart of God's Word when ministering to the youth. I think people underestimate what they are really capable of learning and doing. I've seen that students have an uncanny sense of authenticity and although they might come for fun and games, they will not take you seriously if you aren't serious about what you are teaching. Students who see the authentic worship of God and hear it in His Word will stick around long after the fun and games are over.
It is my passion to see believers engage in worship of our one true God and see their lives changed. In February of 2015 I came on staff as Worship Minister to Redemption Church of Lacombe and feel privileged to be a part of this family of believers. After meeting the people of Redemption Church, my family and I felt at home. I am humbled, amazed, and thankful that the Lord has allowed me to lead His people in worship of our Lord and Savior. My wife Amanda and I feel blessed to have two beautiful daughters. I graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in Worship and Music Studies. Currently I am seeking my M.A. in Worship Ministries from NOBTS.
Scripture teaches us that we should not only worship God corporately but that we should lead lives of worship everyday. I hope to see lives changed by the Gospel and see believers worship in Spirit and Truth. I am excited to see what God will do!
